The Swedish IT company Idnet is joining the metaverse trend by creating their own virtual world in 3D. ‘We want to create a venue where we get to share our knowledge in creating sustainable shopfloor and warehouse processes and workflows which is something we at Idnet are experts in,’ says Christina Befwe CXO at Idnet. The virtual world is built and designed by Wizitory, a Swedish design studio and digital platform that helps businesses make their first steps towards the metaverse by creating virtual worlds in 3D.
Metaverse is currently the number one buzzword. Facebook recently changed their company name to Meta and announced that they are recruiting 10 000 new co-workers that exclusively will develop the metaverse. And they are not alone – Microsoft, Nike, Apple, Netflix and the Swedish IT company Idnet are also catching on to the trend.
Idnet wants to inspire its customers in a virtual world
Idnet is a Gothenburg-based company that creates sustainable workflows and processes for stores and warehouses. In short, they are helping customers in digitalization. The next step in this digital journey is to create a world in 3D, set to launch in the spring of 2022.
– We have chosen to invest in the metaverse since it is an inspiring and modern way to show our clients how they can achieve sustainable growth by streamlining and digitalizing both warehouses and stores. More specifically, our visitors will be able to walk around in a virtual warehouse and a virtual store and discover how the right conditions enable them to reach their KPIs and grow sustainably. They will also be able to participate in digital meetings and listen to webinars about things like trends in retail, e-commerce and warehousing, says Christina Befwe at Idnet.

Idnet’s virtual world is built and designed by us at Wizitory. We are a Swedish design studio and digital platform specializing in helping brands create their interactive metaverse. Our platform is used to develop virtual environments in 3D, where companies can hold digital events, trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences, or as in the Idnet case – a permanent, digital venue for meetings and inspiration.
– The world is only starting to unfold how the Internet will evolve within the next 10–15 years. However, the creative and technical building blocks are already in place for companies to create their own metaverse experiences. This is what Wizitory does, says Mikael Stenberg, CEO at Wizitory.
